Welcome to Star Body, I’m Taylor Meadow Sun.

Igniting your star self, coming into alignment with your heart, releasing what is no longer needed, and opening to what is good, true, and beautiful… this is the path of my own healing journey, and this is the aim of Star Body Healing.

We need spiritual connection. We need help from our ancestors. We need inspiration, insight, validation, healing, and divine recognition of who we really are. I am honored to practice healing in this way. It is life-giving and beautiful work that regenerates and humbles me to the core.

I am an artist and a healing practitioner.

I created Star Body Healing in 2023 out of a desire to offer a space where the mind, body, and spirit can come into harmony. For me, this is deeply personal and inspired by my own healing journey. When I was a teen I began to struggle with overwhelming self doubt and self hatred, and for many years I felt deeply alone and misunderstood.

I yearned for soul-level care, and a community to support me on my healing journey. I yearned for a way to regain access to my innate wholeness.

It was during this time that the seeds were planted that would eventually become Star Body Healing.

I began training with my spiritual teacher and friend, Char Sundust, learning how to practice soul care and studying cross-cultural shamanic practices in community. This was in the middle of my 16-year career as a massage therapist, and I saw how soul care and energy healing were an essential part of caring for the body. I also became interested in Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) or parts work, which I did with my own therapists for several years before beginning to study it myself as another form of soul care.

With the support of expressive arts practices, somatic parts work experiences, and a deeply supportive spiritual community and personal practice, my wellness blossomed and I experienced belonging and self-love on a mind, body, and spirit level.

This is my hope for every person I work with: to love every part of yourself, to feel at home with yourself, and to awaken your creative potential and connection to the mystery.

Living a wildly creative, healthy, and free life is my greatest desire.

Outside of Star Body Healing, I work as a photographer where I help individuals and couples explore ways to nourish all parts of the self through ceremonial photography. You can find my photography offerings at Taylor Meadow Sun.

I believe that healing ourselves heals the Earth, and I am so grateful to do this spiritual & therapeutic work with my clients to bring a new era of wellness to the Earth.

The story of Star Body

During a beautiful healing retreat in Mexico, I received a vision. In this vision, there was a star centered in my belly, and on each arm of the star was written a wish I hold for myself—a representation of what my most balanced, full, free self would look like. Working with this vision over the next few years, I began referring to this self as my Star Self. I saw that the words on the arms of the star changed as I evolved and as my goals transformed with me, serving as a compass for me on my healing journey.

As I shared this concept with others, I realized that the Star Body vision was not meant just for me, but needed to be used as a healing tool for others. As I work with clients now, one of the first things we do is explore the question: what does your Star Self look like? In asking this question, we step beyond a wound-focused paradigm of healing, and instead we look at what is already blossoming and nourishing you. From a place of clear vision, strong heartedness, and self compassion, we can then return to your wounded parts with loving-kindness.

And when I’m not at work?

I currently live in the small town of Camas, WA, with my loving wife and our sweet rabbit Paloma. We enjoy daydreaming about homesteading in the forest and starting a family. In the mean time, we are creating a beautiful life filled with art, music, nature, and vibrant community.

I spend my free time reading fantasy novels, writing poetry, connecting with friends and family, and soaking in hot springs.
